Ahhh. That's what a Pod Endcap Hold-er On-er looks like!
The 2 small tabs will now be welded just inside the edge of the battery pod. They are first bolted to the Hold-er On-er, and then the nut is precisely aligned where it should be before welding the tabs to the inside of the battery pod. (A couple of magnets were helpful with this alignment.)
